Sunday Afternoon Margarita Recipe April 26 2015, 0 Comments
The summer sun is just around the corner, as is Cinco de Mayo, and there is nothing better than a fresh, homemade margarita to enjoy after a day spent outside. I think simple recipes are the best, filled with fresh ingredients and a little tart rather than sweet. My absolute favorite recipe includes three ingredients (well, five if you count ice and a salt rim). This recipe is booze heavy, so you may only need one to get you to your happy place! It isn't needed, but if you like a salt rimmed glass, start by running a lime wedge along the glass rim and dip in a coarse salt. It's easiest to spread the salt evenly in a small round dish, a little larger than the mouth of the glass you are using (vintage appetizer plates work great!). Then add the ice, ingredients, stir and cheers!
- 2 ounces tequila
- 2 ounces Grand Marnier
- 2 ounces fresh squeezed lime juice
