Watkins Cold Cream jar, made by the J.R. Watkins Company in the 1930s & 1940s. Vintage jar is made of milk glass with a tin twist off lid. The lid is embossed with the Watkins logo.  Use to house your modern facial cream or to store little odds and ends.

The J.R. Watkins Medical Company was founded in Plainview, Minnesota and began by selling liniment in 1868 door-to-door. By the 40s the company was the largest direct-sales company in the world. The 2002 movie 'Door to Door' is the story of Bill Porter, an extraordinary Watkins salesman who worked a Watkins route despite have cerebral palsy.
